An Uber for vape delivery? The Vape Shed launches VapeDrop

Vape Shed launches online delivery service for vapes

Hamilton based vape retailer The Vape Shed has launched VapeDrop, a home delivery service for vaping products, almost like an Uber-like service for vape delivery.

Currently it’s only supporting the Hamilton region with Auckland availablity coming soon. VapeDrop wants to expand it service nationwide – possibly with other vape retailers or within it’s own network.

You can only pay using Paypal, Debit Visa or using PoliPay (Instant Internet Banking) according to their website. No cash or EFTPOS.

It sounds like a promising idea, and I think it’s only a matter of time before we see the vape industry diversify. I think the only thing stopping these sorts of services popping up is local laws as vaping at the end of the day is nicotine based.

ALT makes a big splash

The largest Kiwi-owned vaping business, VAPO has reached an incredible milestone after opening its first shop on Auckland’s Dominion Road just two years ago.

Its products are now available in at least 1,000 outlets throughout New Zealand including supermarkets, independent convenience stores, as well as eight of its own VAPO-branded shops.

The ‘1,000 outlets’ milestone has been reached with ALT New Zealand securing a supplier agreement with Mobil meaning the company’s products are now available in the country’s three leading service stations – Mobil, Z, and BP.

“Going live with Mobil really confirms our superior reach and locks in our number one status in New Zealand,” says Jonathan Devery, co-owner and co-founder of Alt New Zealand.

In fact the Alt and VAPO stockist network is now bigger than all the other Kiwi vape companies put together.

“Credit solely belongs to our more than 70 staff who’ve delivered incredible growth in a very short time, and to our distributors and suppliers who have been keen to support a New Zealand-owned business focused on helping smokers to quit,” says Mr Devery.

Getting into Mobil also follows hard on the heels of the two vaping entrepreneurs recently opening their eighth VAPO store in a beautifully restored historic building in High Street, central Christchurch.

One of the most common messages I get on our social media accounts is can you index our store? Can you add our store to your website? The awnser I give is most commonly the same, and that is to send them off to our Submit a Store page.

All you need to do to submit your store to Vapeprices is to click this link.

We need the following information to create a store listing for you:

  • Store name
  • Store manager name
  • Store website address
  • Store Instagram page
  • Description of Store/Store brand

That’s pretty much it! We do the rest. So if your waiting for your store to be indexed, head on over to the Submit A Store page.
